Distillery tour for 2/29/20 CANCELED

posted Feb 28, 2020, 10:19 AM by Gary Urbatis

We are so sorry to have to cancel this event but unfortunately, due to the popularity of the products the distillery had to increase production and can't offer the Saturday tours right now. Hopefully, we can schedule something with the distillery again soon.
So sorry for the inconvenience.
Have a great weekend and we will see you at another event soon.

Weekly Volleyball

posted Feb 20, 2020, 5:59 AM by Sarah Haugse

Tuesday volleyball has been suspended until further notice.  School students will be using the space for soccer practice.  It only makes sense that the students would receive priority.  We have contacted several possibilities, but nothing definitive yet.  Watch for an update in the newsletter.  If you are aware of a gym that is rentable, please give us the location and phone number.  Thanks, Gary 412-427-8772

Fall Weekend trip, October 18-22, 2018

Fall Weekend 2018

Deep Creek, Maryland

Thursday, October 18, 2018 through Monday, October 22, 2018

It’s been 5 long years since our last trip to Deep Creek and I can’t wait to go back!

Only this time we’re staying 4 nights so we can have an extra day of fun!

We’ve rented 3 beautiful houses in the Kendall Camp Community on top of Wisp Mountain.

Each house has its own outdoor hot tub and at least one fireplace.  Mountain Merlot will be our base of operations and boasts a pool table, air hockey table, and ping pong table.  CAC competitions are sure to arise, but we won’t stay in all weekend…we’ll find lots of time to explore the area, including nearby state parks where we can enjoy the great outdoors!   (And yes, Mike Kernan, all houses provide towels and linens….)  Each house also has some bunk beds and twin beds, so some attendees will have the luxury of sleeping in a bed of their own without paying a premium price.

The cost for this fun-filled weekend is only $275 per member, double occupancy (non-members $300).  Your reservation includes four nights lodging, breakfast every morning, dinner on Friday night in Mountain Merlot, and sleeping quarters in a queen-size bed with another person of the same sex or in a bunk or twin-size bed in a room with other persons of the same sex.  Dinners on Thursday and Sunday are on your own.  On Saturday night, we will attend mass together and have dinner at a local restaurant at your own cost.

Because we are aware that some attendees are uncomfortable sharing a bed with another person of the same sex, we are again offering the option of paying a premium to avoid the necessity of sharing a bed.  With this option, you will sleep in a queen-size bed without sharing.  The cost for the option of having your own bed is $350 per member (non-members $400).

Payment is due in full no later than October 1, 2018.  Space is strictly limited by the rental company so reserve early.  I will accept multiple payments of any amount beginning immediately.  However, you must pay at least $150 on or before September 1st with the final payment due October 1st.  Payment of $150 by September 1st will reserve your spot in one of the houses and is non-refundable.  If you have any questions or you are interested in joining us, please contact Margie: for a complete reservation form.
